GearMatic Bot Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This policy explains what the GearMatic Bot Discord app, operated by Infinite Loop Alchemist, stores about you and why.
What we store
- Your Discord user ID, and the ID of the server a command was used in, so the app can remember your exports and settings.
- We process the character export you paste, including equipped items, gems, enchants and scoring values. For a paste in a server, we store a score summary, class, spec, level, item level, equipment-gap counts, unmet-cap names, addon version, timestamp and export fingerprint against your Discord user and server IDs. The current score store does not retain the full export or item list. An export contains no account name, no BattleTag and no login details.
- If you choose Battle.net linking: your Battle.net account ID, BattleTag, region, character list and selected main character.
- If you choose Linked Roles: Discord authorization tokens and role-connection metadata needed to update the connection you authorized.
- Cached Blizzard and Raider.IO lookup results, including public character information requested through the free features.
- We check the subscription entitlements Discord attaches to a command to decide whether that server has Guild Tier. We do not receive payment details.
- A log of app events (command used, when, and by which user ID) to diagnose problems.
We process content submitted to the app's commands, including an item message you explicitly select for an Item card. We do not collect general channel history. Guild scoring does not read your Blizzard account; optional free account-linking features access the Battle.net information you authorize through Blizzard. We do not receive your Blizzard password.
Why we store it
To run the features you ask for: scoring your gear, retaining your latest server score summary, comparing members of a guild, retrieving character and item information, linking your account, updating Linked Roles and fixing bugs. A fresh export is needed to update your gear score. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Discord, because every command and reply passes through Discord.
- Members of a server can see score replies posted there. The guild score board reads only the score summaries saved for that Discord server.
- Blizzard, when the free features perform API lookups or you authorize Battle.net linking.
- Raider.IO, when character lookups request its public scores. These lookups use character and realm information, not your Discord identity.
How long we keep it
Your score summary is replaced by a newer paste in the same server and is eligible for deletion after 180 days without one. The scheduled cleanup removes expired summaries, event logs older than 90 days and cached game data older than 30 days. Temporary account-linking states expire after 10 minutes. Battle.net links remain until unlinked or deleted on request; unlinking also removes Linked Roles tokens and locally stored role metadata. When a server removes the app, that server's guild data is deleted on request.
Your choices
- Ask in the Infinite Loop Alchemist Discord server to have your stored scores or all data about your user ID removed, and we will do it. The current app has no score-delete command.
/account unlink removes your Battle.net link and locally stored Linked Roles authorization and metadata. It does not delete score summaries submitted separately through /score.
Where the data lives
On a server we control in the United States. Standard access controls apply, and only the operator has access.
Children
The app follows Discord's minimum age. We do not knowingly store data about anyone below it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do.
